Entry: Disney Happy Ever Afters Sunday, September 18, 2005

I am idealistic in my own way,but not to the extent that i believe in Disney's much propagated "Happy Ever Afters". The point is, is there really such an utopia?Where you live happily ever after with the person you love and your existence is not blighted or marred with any scar or problem.Perfect peace.

My life in general has truly been a blessed one. Even as i sit here in the midst of all my troubles, i can say that.It has given me with nothing but the best. But will my life end in a "happily ever after"? After all, arent those only for fairy tales that dont exist? Therefore, happily ever after, should technically,
NOT EXIST?

Because for me,just when you think that life's great and treating you with the best it can offer, things just come crashing down.Much like the unexpected Great Depression in the 1930's.In a blink of an eye and you can say bye bye to everything you ever dreamed of.

Is it God's will or Man's own undoing? I'd rather think of it as both. His will as well as our own mistakes. We are afterall flawed. It would be very selfish of us to oh so conveniently let Him take the blame wouldnt it? If so, we would also not realise the extent of our pride and mistakes. As well i should realise.

"When dealing with people, let us remember we are not dealing with creatures of logic. We are dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures bustling with prejudices and motivated by pride and vanity."
